Introduction

Welcome to Drivzo. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Drivzo app, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

By using Drivzo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can always reach us at support@drivzo.co.za.

Information We Collect

We only collect information that is needed to make the app work for you. This includes:

• Account information — your email address and password when you create an account.
• Vehicle information — vehicle details you enter, such as make, model, year, and registration number.
• Service and repair records — service logs, fuel records, repair entries, costs, mileage, and dates that you add.
• Documents — photos of documents such as licence discs, insurance certificates, and roadworthy certificates that you upload.
• Photos — images you attach to service records, repairs, and documents.
• Reminders — reminder details such as service dates and mileage targets that you set.

We do not collect any information you have not actively entered or uploaded yourself.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Drivzo service. Specifically:

• To store and display your vehicle history and records within the app.
• To send you reminders for upcoming services, licence renewals, and document expiries.
• To let you access your data across devices when you are logged in.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and at rest in the database.

Photos and documents you upload are stored in secure cloud storage. Only you can access your own files — no other Drivzo user can view your data.

Drivzo is built for South African drivers but data may be stored on servers located outside of South Africa. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and all associated records will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

If you delete individual records, vehicles, or photos within the app, those items are removed immediately and cannot be recovered.

Your Rights

You are in control of your data. You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — update or correct any information that is inaccurate.
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data.
• Portability — request your data in a portable format.

Third-Party Services

Drivzo uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. (Privacy Policy)
• Expo — the platform used to build and distribute the app. (Privacy Policy)
• Google Play — used to distribute the Android app. Google may collect usage and device data as per their own policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies.

Children's Privacy

Drivzo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email.

Your continued use of Drivzo after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
